OUR PHILOSOPHY |
|
| The Children's Center and School are ministry arms of the Willow Vale Community Church. We purpose to provide a safe, loving and stimulating Christian environment for children while away from their primary caregivers. We believe that Christian
principles, based on the Holy Bible help assure a strong self image, wholesome personality growth and a solid value system which ultimately strengthens both the individual and the family unit. We believe every child is of inestimable worth in God's eyes and deserving of respect and dignity.
"Teach a child to choose the right path, and when he is older he will remain on it."
-- Proverbs 22:6 (Living Bible)
Character training is a priority goal of Christian Education. Children can absorb an incredible amount of information but character development takes faithful training and teaching on a daily basis. When successful training occurs, the lessons become so much a part of the child that he must go against his own spirit to do the wrong thing.
A weekly "character lesson" can not accomplish this task. It must be incorporated into all activities throughout each day. Regardless of age or grade, all students at Willow Vale will be trained to respect authority, work with diligence and to do their best. We will provide an environment where the habits of orderliness, carefulness, honesty, cooperation, perseverance, self control, responsibility, patience, good judgment and respect are the accepted standard. |

A school CALENDAR is a part of this introductory packet of materials. Be sure to refer to this as we move through the year. UNIFORMS are required in grades K-8. The uniform is navy blue or tan slacks, shorts, or skirts (skorts are accepted) with a solid color or white polo shirt (shirt with a collar).
